    Protects against mechanical and electrical breakdown for a specific list of your MINI's components. Cover is available for MINIs with mileage up to 160,000 kilometres.

    Overview.

    Named Component Insured Warranty protects against mechanical and electrical breakdown for a wide range of specified components in your MINI. You can purchase your Insured Warranty on an annual basis.

    You can include an excess with your policy - which is only payable if you make a claim. Including an excess can reduce the cost of your premium.

    You can choose to include MINI Roadside Assistance with your Insured Warranty. For more details on the features and benefits of MINI Roadside Assistance please click here. Should you choose not to include MINI Roadside Assistance, MINI Warranty Assistance will only provide recovery to the nearest MINI Centre in the event of immobilisation more than half a mile (0.8km) away from your home address.

    Please note that Named Component Insured Warranty is not available for vehicles with mileage over 160,000 kilometres (at the time of purchasing your warranty).

The service history of the Insured Vehicle will be required by the repairing Retailer in the event of a claim.     Details of Cover.

    Named Component Insured Warranty covers all the mechanical and electrical components outlined below.

    Please note that any components not specifically listed are not covered.

    The maximum claims liability covered by Named Component Insured Warranty is the purchase price paid for the vehicle, inclusive of VAT and VRT.

    Braking system.

    All hydraulic components, including but not limited to the following:

    Master cylinder, brake callipers (excluding seized units), wheel cylinders, brake limiter valve, apportioning and compensator valves, brake servo unit, vacuum pump, ABS pump, ABS modulator/control valve and sensors.

    Casings.

    Casings are covered when damaged by the failure of an insured component.

    Clutch.

    Release bearing, master and slave cylinders. This excludes burnt out parts and general wear and tear.

    Cooling System.

    Water pump, viscous fan coupling, radiator and expansion tank, oil cooler, heater matrix, cooling fan motor.

    Electrical System.

    Alternator, starter motor, starter solenoid, distributor, electronic control units, electronic ignition module, wiper motors, heater fan motors, central locking motors and solenoids, window motors, horn, washer pump motors, sun roof motor, electric door mirror motors, relays, fuel tank sender unit, switches.

    Engine.

    All internally lubricated components, including but not limited to the following:

    Cylinder head, cylinder head gasket, valves (excluding decarbonisation, burnt or pitted valves and valve seats), valve springs, valve guides, camshaft and bearings, camshaft followers, hydraulic lifters, timing gears, timing chains, piston and piston rings, cylinder liners and liner seals, connecting rods and small end bearings, gudgeon pins, crankshaft and crankshaft bearings, oil pump and oil pump drive, distributor driveshaft, flywheel, starter motor ring gear, engine management sensors.

    Final drive.

    All internally lubricated components, including but not limited to the following:

    Crown wheel and pinion, differential gears and bearings, 4X4 transfer box, half shaft, half shaft bearings, drive shafts, bearings and constant velocity joints, propeller shaft universal joints and centre bearing, wheel bearings, final drive sensors. This excludes rubber boots and gaiters.

    Fuel System.

    Fuel injection pump, pump drive gear, lift pump, fuel pump relay, fuel system electronic control unit. This excludes fuel injectors/glow plugs.

    Gearbox.

    All internally lubricated components, including but not limited to the following:

    Gears, shafts, synchroniser hubs and baulk rings, selector shafts and selector forks, internal bearings and bushes, oil pump, valve and valve block, clutches and brake bands, governor, torque converter, modulator valve, gearbox sensors. (Excluding external linkages)

    Miscellaneous.

    The rectification of oil leaks is not covered and the cost of seals and gaskets will be accepted where they are required as a direct consequence of a valid claim under the insurance.

    Steering.

    Steering rack or box, power steering pump, idler box, reservoir. (Excluding rubber boots and gaiters).

    Sundries.

    Working materials e.g. oils, filters, antifreeze are claimable as a direct result of a valid claim providing the vehicle is not within 1,600 kilometres of its next scheduled service.

    Timing belts.

    Timing belts and tensioners are covered providing that the last due change has taken place as specified by the manufacturer's schedule (proof required). Damage subsequently caused if timing belt has not been changed as specified by the manufacturer is specifically excluded.

    Turbocharger.

    Factory-fitted turbocharger, intercooler and wastegate.

    Does MINI Insured Warranty include any additional benefits?

    Yes. A facility for Republic of Ireland roadside recovery only - Warranty Assistance - is included with MINI Insured Warranty.

    Please note that this service is limited to recovery to the nearest dealer within the Republic of Ireland only and is not a replacement for the full assistance services and benefits provided by MINI Roadside Assistance at home, elsewhere or on the road in the UK, Republic of Ireland, and Continental Europe. MINI Roadside Assistance cover is available as an option with all MINI Insured Warranty policies.

    Yes. Simply select the option to include MINI Roadside Assistance when you take out your MINI Insured Warranty policy.

    Are there any restrictions on which vehicles can be covered by Named Component Warranty?

    No. Named Component is available to all vehicles, regardless of mileage. The MINI Insured Warranty will not cover any vehicle that is used for private hire or courier services. This includes, hire and reward, taxi or chauffeur services.

    Should I opt for MINI Insured Warranty without Roadside Assistance, what assistance will I receive?

    Should you choose not to include Roadside Assistance with your MINI Insured Warranty, Warranty Assistance will only provide recovery to the nearest MINI Centre in the event of immobilisation more than half a mile away from your home address.
