Our top level of protection covers most mechanical and electrical parts against failure. Cover is available for MINIs with mileage up to 160,000 kilometres.
Overview.
Comprehensive cover provides our highest level of Insured Warranty protection and covers the majority of mechanical and electrical parts of your MINI.
Failure of covered components for normal degradation (wear and tear) is also included up to 160,000 kilometres. You can purchase your Insured Warranty on an annual basis.
You can choose to include an excess with your policy, which is payable only if you make a claim. Including an excess in your policy can reduce the cost of your premium.
You can choose to include MINI Roadside Assistance with your Insured Warranty. For more details on the features and benefits of MINI Roadside Assistance please click here. Should you choose not to include MINI Roadside Assistance, MINI Warranty Assistance will only provide recovery to the nearest MINI Centre in the event of immobilisation more than half a mile (0.8km) away from your home address.
Please note that Comprehensive Insured Warranty is not available for vehicles with mileage over 160,000 kilometres (at the time of purchasing your warranty).

The service history of the Insured Vehicle will be required by the repairing Retailer in the event of a claim. Comprehensive Insured Warranty covers all mechanical and electrical components of your vehicle for failure - except the items listed below:
- All exhaust components (except catalytic converter)
- All service items which will require periodic replacement
- Any item over 160,000 kilometres that has worn out rather than suffered from a defect
- Auxiliary drive belts
- Batteries
- Brake and clutch facings
- Bulbs and fuses
- Channels and guides
- Cleaning or adjustment of any component
- Coolant and fuel hoses
- Discs and drums
- Glass
- Handles, hinges and check straps
- Trim, upholstery and cosmetic finishes

Comprehensive Insured Warranty covers your MINI's mechanical and electrical parts for failure that may arise - with the exception of those items specified below:
Batteries, all exhaust components (except Catalytic Converter), brake and clutch facings, discs and drums, bulbs and fuses, channels and guides, weather strips and seals, handles, hinges and check straps, trim, upholstery and cosmetic finishes, wheels and tyres, wiper blades and arms, glass, auxiliary drive belts, coolant and fuel hoses, the cleaning or adjustment of any component, all service items which will require periodic replacement. However all insured components, even if the failure is due to normal degradation (wear and tear), are included up to 160,000 km from the date of registration.
Your insured warranty policy ensures your vehicle's covered for 12 months
You can choose a policy with or without an excess. The excess is payable on the claims you make on the policy. You can choose an excess of €0, €135 or €335.
Yes. A facility for Republic of Ireland roadside recovery only - Warranty Assistance - is included with MINI Insured Warranty.
Please note that this service is limited to recovery to the nearest dealer within the Republic of Ireland only and is not a replacement for the full assistance services and benefits provided by MINI Roadside Assistance at home, elsewhere or on the road in the UK, Republic of Ireland, and Continental Europe. MINI Roadside Assistance cover is available as an option with all MINI Insured Warranty policies.
The claim limit for Comprehensive Insured Warranty is the purchase price paid for the vehicle (inclusive of VAT and VRT).
Yes. Simply select the option to include MINI Roadside Assistance when you take out your MINI Insured Warranty policy. Cars registered from January 2007 benefit from a two year new car warranty and three year Roadside Assistance. Therefore, at expiry of the two year new car warranty no purchase of Roadside Assistance is required for the following year.
Comprehensive cover is available for MINIs that have covered no more than 160,000 km (or the equivalent in miles) at the time of purchasing the warranty. The MINI Insured Warranty will not cover any vehicle that is used for private hire or courier services. This includes, hire and reward, taxi or chauffeur services.
If your MINI has mileage of 160,000 km or more, you can still take out a DriveLine Insured Warranty policy.
You can pay for your policy annually, ensuring you’re fully covered all year round.

Should you choose not to include Roadside Assistance with your MINI Insured Warranty, Warranty Assistance will only provide recovery to the nearest Authorised MINI Dealer or MINI Service Authorised Workshop in the event of immobilisation more than one kilometre away from your home address. For vehicles less than 3 years old MINI Roadside Assistance is included.
